We are huge Crew fans, so a trick taking game with one of our favorite IPs was a no brainer. They did a nice job with the theme, however tying trick taking to the events of the story, let's say the connections are very loose. It's also too easy. Maybe because we are experienced at Crew, but there were no misses or near misses in the first 2/3rd of the campaign we played through in 2 sessions. Because of this, I don't see there being any replayability. Looks great, and I like the flavor. I did enjoy playing, despite the lack of difficulty, it was a good time.

The trick is the trick
An easy to learn but progressively more difficult card game. Nice that it has a solo feature. The contents are well designed. If a co-op game is something you like, this could be a good addition.

Excellent game!
This was the perfect gift for my daughter, age 19, who has read and reread the LOTR books multiple times. So great to play characters that don't usually show up in other LOTR games/media. Good balance between challenging yet possible. Already looking forward to the sequels!
