"Dathomirians, Unite!"

THIS is a quintessential example of the color Star Wars: Shatterpoint can bring to a miniatures game. Characters like Mother Talzin and Savage Opress would be fan favorite backburner characters for the waning days of most games’ life cycles. But here they are, released less than 3 months after the Core Set. And they’re so. Cool.

Talzin has horrifying ranged damage, healing, and gives all Dathomirians lifesteal. She can magically compel enemies to walk away from Objective Markers. Savage Opress is a beast that only gets scarier/faster once injured. He excels at bringing down Force Users in a way the Inquisitorious wishes they could. Nightsister Acolytes are awesome too, with fantastic movement abilities and a great ranged statline for a Supporting Unit.

My only real worry with this pack is forward-compatability. After the Core Set and Witches of Dathomir Squad Pack, do you know how many named Dathomirian characters are left? One. Nightsister Merrin from Jedi: Fallen Order / Survivor. And she's from the Dark Times, so you can't squad build with her even if she -was- released. The Dathomirians in this box and Core Set are the only Dathomirians you will ever be able to put in a squad together, release schedule notwithstanding.

It’s hard to talk a lot about the Witches of Dathomir squad pack because it’s just so good. Aside from the forward-compatability issues, they’re a fun list to run with Lord Maul or Asajj Ventress, Sith Assassin as the accompanying Primary. I love this Squad Pack.
