These beat the standard flat tokens and certainly look nice on the table once painted. Greatly increases immersion on the battlefield! However, that's where my compliments end.
My main complaint is that the sculpts are very lack luster. For a product that is marketed, priced, and sold as a STAR WARS product, there's truly nothing star wars about these at all. It actually almost seems like these were modeled to get close to star wars, but still avoid trademark/copyright.
I thought I did a really good job painting them, yet so far every game I have played my opponent had no idea what these object were, and quite frankly I did not know either. The small white canister looking this is actually beyond lazy, I had someone ask me "is that a trash can?"
All of the sculpts seems generally lazy + recycled with very little resemblance to anything star wars. Anything at all to make this feel like a more licensed product would have really helped. The work bench looking thing (bottom left corner of box art) is essentially an all flat surface on all sides not seen by the box art picture, a completely wasted blank canvas for some really cool star wars logos/writing.
I don't at all regret buying these as my battlefield looks great with them and makes for a real immersive game. However I would have a really hard time recommending this exact product as it fails to hit the mark on value for money, cool factor, and resemblance to anything thematic in star wars. Infact, if you were looking to use these for a non-starwars war game and did not want them throw off the look of the battlefield, these are for you. However is you are trying to further capture the essence of being in a real life star wars battle. I would probably keep looking.
overall these are roughly a 4/10 for me
