Excellent in every aspect.
This game captures the feeling of the Lord of the Rings. I played with my daughter we were on the brink of defeat the forces of Darkness threatening to move towards Erebor and conquer it the game pressing us forward.
Love this game. Played it 4 times within the first week of getting it. Captures the theme of Lord of the Rings so well.
A great spin-off of the Pandemic-Style mechanic. It feels like its own thing. There are enough new mechanics introduced in Fate of the Fellowship that makes it stand apart from most Pandemic-Style games.
It’s a bit more complex than Wrath of the Lich King and The Clone Wars. I would say that it’s a significant leap in complexity compared to those games. However, after a game or two, the game becomes second nature.
I believe that if you’re a fan of LotR, you will enjoy what is offered here. Just be warned, it requires a bit of patience and understanding of the map layout before you begin to feel comfortable with the gameplay changes. It’s challenging and rewarding. Also, FotF does a great job making you feel the weight of the battles and armies as the game progresses. You truly do feel as if destroying the ring weighs heavily on you as the map fills with the opposition of Sauron’s army.
I really enjoy the game and I have already played several times. I like look forward to playing more with different characters and objectives.
